Our staff are actively involved in research in a variety of areas across the sports business management and sports marketing disciplines.
Staff regularly publish articles in peer-reviewed journals and present at international conferences, such as the European Association for Sport Management conference.
These research findings feed directly into our teaching, meaning that students at all levels are exposed to cutting-edge research in sports marketing and sports business management.
We are also actively engaged in pedagogic research into issues within the teaching of sports business management, including the use of virtual learning environments and social media in teaching and learning.
The team have conducted, written up and published quantitative and qualitative research projects on the topics of sports sponsorship and brand management, sponsorship activation and marketing events.
Our work has been published in the Journal of Marketing Management, the Journal of Marketing Communications, the Journal of Promotion Management and Sport, Business and Management: An International Journal.
